To those idiots who keep yelling "Google update", here's a tip; if your PR0 pages are still PR0 then there is NO update, unless you're totally clueless about SEO. And yes, in case you didn't know; it's a PAGE rank, PAGE you hear.... not a site rank, a PAGE rank!

Ok, I really need a cry emoticon on this board, I've been doing it a lot these days at DP!

    Always counting?

My understanding has always been that PR stays the same until a "dance".

As to the importance of the Toolbar PR, my point was that it HAS reflected recent changes but that normally it stays the same between these updates.

Yes, it's a PAGE rank, but for most sites, the most important page is the main index landing page - what we used to call the "home page". That page generally has the highest PR and when people say "I am PR5" or whatever, that's what they mean.

It's a lot easier to say "my site is PR5" than "my /index.html is PR5"

A page rank update and a ranking update are two different things. PR updates more than we see.

Quite a few datacenters are showing different ranking results at the moment. Not sure if this is big daddy getting rolled out.

I see different data over quite a few data centers. My main site is all over the place for a few keywords. Too early to tell whether it is old data or an update.

I notice that the web rank prediction tools is showing believable results now so maybe an update is close. Put your ear to the ground and try and hear the rumble.
