I'm seeing PR changes at the following DC's:
    216.239.53.99
    216.239.53.104
They're showing PR levels that as far as I'm aware my sites have never been sat at before.

Yes, I was a 6 for many years, but the previous update demoted me to 5. Glad to see this one apparently put me back there again.

It must be a "weak 6" if it can vacillate like this.

I'm pretty convinced that its old data - I've seen a few sites go back to previous PR's recently. Of course it doesn't mean you aren't all going back up - but what you've been seeing now is old...

Toolbar has me back to a 5 again :)

As I said, I must be right on the line - I was 6 for many years, slipped back, went up, slipped back.. silly Google :)

As if the toolbar is reporting your real time PR.

    "Real time PR" ???

The only time PR changes is from these updates, isn't it?

So - outside of the period within an update - the Toolbar PR is constant and unchanging: what's "real time" mean to that???

Are we talking about different things or am I confused somewhere?

The PR you see on the tool bar is only important to webmasters. Google is always counting the value of your inbound links and calculating your PR
