Looking forward to my second google update since being a webmaster, however according to the PR tool - there's not much in store for me...at least when I checked last month.
It is definately in the process of happening, but we all know this is a 2-3 week process, or in the case of the dreaded jagger, even longer. I am mainly hoping to reach a PR of 6 which one be one notch higher. Not that I am obsessed with my PR, it's just that from most people that I talk to, that seems to be the magic number for getting more frequent and deeper crawls by the googlebot. Getting my pages indexed has been the biggest problem for my primary website.
http://www.iwebtool.com/pagerank_prediction I just rechecked and I'm getting different results. I am not sure how precise this tool is - I won't hold my breath.
As i said to all those "future hungry" people in my forum, there is no such thing as a PR prediction tool. All the present tools are mearely jokes. The single prediction tool which is humanly present right now is the Google Directory thing. And that one, too, is not confirmed yet.
I've been watching the V-E SEO contest results fairly closely (including data centers) ... and for a while this morning, I was seeing what looked a LOT like Big Daddy results for the main google.com that I ended up pointing too.
What's the last minute preparation that I can do now to get a pagerank? My site shows PR0/10 for the past six months. My site has only 12 links from other sites, I think my PR will not change during this update...
Well, they've put me back at PR6 again. I was a 6 for a long time, but the last update put me at 5, and now I'm back up again. I must be right at the cut-off point.. I was hoping I was solidly in 6 territory and working toward a 7 but I guess a weak 6 is better than nothing Adsense revenues seem to be up - Fridays are usually a bit off for me but today is strong, and weekends have been much stronger than they were in the past. We'll see what happens when it's all over, right? I could be a 5 again.
It is too late to do anything once an update has begun. Google already has the data. However, now is the perfect time to start working toward the April update....and July update.....and october update.... Get the picture?
