Google Updates have begun !

Reading this is like a walk on the beach it just relaxes you from teh stressfull work day

 

Damn man....25 pages of post even before the update is beginning. Simply amazing.

 

So lol anyone can see any new PR for their sites? (Not old PR)

I seem to have lost PR on a couple of sites over the past two weeks :-(

 

Hmm .. in the past couple of months perhaps.

 

One person at the vbseo site has went to PR6, highest previous was PR5.

 

My momma always says, Google is like a box of chocolates. You just never know what your gonna get.

 

the new results propogating among the dc's are strange...

both my compeition and I had like over 100,000 pages indexed then all the sudden they are down like 800% now 216.* and 66.* are showing only 14,000 pages

i have noticed many sites are going down in index page counts... i wonder if this is just flux or if its some new algo...

i dont think you can publish thousands of pages and expect them to be indexed anymore unless you have high PR / IBLs or are an aged site..

I checked older sites with way more IBL's in my industry and the new updates dont seem to have touched them

 

almost all of my sites are showing a PR0 I have actually lost the PR1 and PR2 rankings that some of my pages had. I'm getting rather fobic right now however I know better than anyone else not to jump to conclusions until its been like that for atleast a week as googles update is massive.

Edit: Yeah this thing is definetly going crazy, The PR is jumping and going back down left and right.

 

my indexed pages jumped up on alot of data centers yesterday. Now I am seeing anywhere from 500 pages to 12,400 pages. Neither anywhere near accurate.

 

Aren't google updates fun. Creates pointless madness and frenzy.

 

i'm not going to jump to conclusions but this is what im noticing..

looks like big daddy (64.233.179.104 ) is going to be counting PR and the age factor for not just ranking but also number of indexed pages... i guess google is starting to limit new sites (scrapers or even legitimate content etc) from getting 1,000's of pages of content indexed even if it is unique ..

all i know is big daddy sliced my pages 6x times (aka lost 70,000 pages) ... its not happening to just me but hundreds of other sites big time... this means sliced traffic..

i wonder if big daddy will eventually reindex all my pages again anytime soon.. the results are good but why cant google figure out a way to updating the results they have instead of throwing them out and re-indexing again with their new algo's..

in order to justify your index page count and presence in google it looks more then ever you need links ( related neigborhoods "trustrank"), age and established credibility... i think thats where google is going with this update...

I disagree, we have a site that just went live December 3rd and Google is indexing thousands of pages.

 

wow that was big hit. hope to have bigger hits from googlebot.

 

Man, the updates began back on the 24th and I'm still waiting to see changes. It must take a long time.
