My site was bouncing around for a number of weeks, from page 1 to 2 on Google, it appears that was due to the site being re-evaluated by G. It was PR0, now increased to PR1, however the pages that were ranking on page 1 and 2 of Google have dropped to page 3 & 5 - WHY? For the past 3 months, I have slowly been building backlinks via article marketing, ensuring that I only submit 2 articles maximum per week, as well as submitting my site slowly (over 5 days) to web directories, I have also commented in blogs, leaving backlink to site using anchor text. I have checked my competitors sites (using backlink watch) and their backlinks seem similat to mine but they are out ranking me - why? Can anyone tell me what I need to do to get back to page 1 of Google. My keywords have 300K of competition.
300K competition is not much. now the question is whether your website is a new one, meaning less than 1 year old. Domain age plays a part, would you trust the words of a 50 year old or the words of a 5 year old? You know the answer...
Page rank and ranking in serp are different.To improve ranking you should do link building to get backlinks from relevent sites. relevency is very important to get high ranking.you should check content of page and if you need change the content always keep in mind about keyword density.
The site is 4 years old, however I changed the content and added some web pages 6 weeks ago, these pages are ranking in top spot for their keywords. However the main keyword is the problem. I will continue link building. Thank you all for your comments.
Hi, One site PR has been increased from PR3 to PR4. However, indeed, it has been absconded from Google SERP for only one search term for past few days. It looks at discrepancy how it disappears only for one search term but appears for all other search terms. I couldn't contemplate analysis in this issue? Can anybody help in this issue to find out solution?
