There was a few local search terms that I was able to get to the top of the first page of results within a week or two and now they are gone. The site still has a PR, other searches are coming up ok, maybe a little lower, but these targeted pages have disappeared. The pages in question were targeted page name url's. The pages were clones of the main service page, but targeted at a specific local town.
Yeah, seems there are some algo changes that went wrong. Same think happened in the past few months. Just let the sites as they are and they will come back in a week or two.
I've experienced a problem with one of my sites, its not new BTW and had very stable traffic of about 2000 hits per day from Google. On the 11th Feb its like someone turned off a switch, its gone down to a steady 50 odd hits a day... anyone have any more info on the update Google did?
This isnt acting like a normal ranking change. One of the search terms was picture framing loveland. We had a highly targeted page created about 2 weeks ago and were top 3 within 48 hours, now not even in the top 100.
It's because Google is changing their algorithm to get rid of spammy/contect farm/scrapers websites and probably you are all affected by that.
