One of mine went up and from 5 -> 6 for http://gameguru.ru/ site and it receives +5,000 uniq users per day from Google for gaming content. And it's up from 4 -> 5 for inside page of my SEO site http://www.bdbd.ru/searchengines.htm. It's very interesting because I had the same number of backlinks for the home page and this page, but one of my clients links logo to this inside page, not to home page. I noticed it only in 4 weeks and because of this four weeks the home page PR is still 4. I think you just lost some back links.
I agree Bob Results have been consistent with the normal SERPs for the last two days in the good old UK. Shame, it was interesting while it lasted! Mick
After using DigitalPoint's tools, it looks as though thinkbling.com definitely lost a lot of backlinks.
Ah yes, some goes up, some goes down and we all spend our time thinking about what the Big G will do next update. Mick
How do you tell what your actual page rank is? I see the little green bar, but the difference between 4 and 5 etc... is there a numeric value hidden somewhere?
this update is really strange to say the least... I lost a lot of backlinks to an old, never updated domain and the PR went from 2 to 4. on the other hand I'm waiting for some domains to be finally indexed edit: Newcomputer: If you use your mouse to hover that green bar it will show the exact PR in brackets, eg. (3/10). 3 would be the pagerank in this example. once you've done that for a couple of times you can "read" pageranks just by looking at the bar, without using your mouse
PR is not showing up in the toolbar, but it is in the WebmasterBrain tool. My site went from 5 to 4 a couple months ago but I actually have more backlinks now then I did then...strange...
Hi, It's possible that Google hasn't included those links for the PR update yet. I think it takes about 1 month to get the links included for the PRs. Links that I recently got, like 2-3 weeks ago are not showing up in the backlinks after this update. I guess we'll have to wait for the next update.
So how long will it usually take the 100s of new pages I have just added to pick up some of the PR from my index page?
Usually PageRank is taken into account internally within 2 weeks of being spidered. As far as showing the PageRank, sometimes it's as long as 4 weeks after being spidered.
why do you think it takes so long to display it? surely calculating it must big the biggest crunch on their servers, displaying it shouldn't be a big problem, it seems like..
http://www.rustybrick.com/pagerank-prediction.php This is better for checking Future PR - you get a %age rise too
It's not working. It's just fake. Type in "www.bdbd.ru/searchengines.htm" there. Do you think I have PR10/10?
The Google update went pretty well for me this time. I noticed a link to one of my newer sites from DMOZ...very happy about that. It's the first site I've ever been able to get listed. It only took 6 - 8 weeks.
"Results: Your current Google PageRank is 5. Based on our calculations, we predict your future PageRank after the next Google update will be 5, an increase of 4.14%. " well that was certainly... interesting.
It doesn't work. Type in "http://www.bdbd.ru/searchengines.htm". It's a fake to get new customers for site.
