Now that's a clever quote 'Your inner pages have the content that your visitors want'. I have noticed a couple of websites which have higher PR for their inner pages than the main page which shows ppl will be more willing to link to the valuable content on a website, be it an inner page!
I don't think it's quite over, there are still datacentres that are showing different results. But things are starting to stabilise. Unfortunately, I'm seeing quite a downward trend, and it's probably too late to do anything about it in time for this update.
Better forget about PR. It actually means small in how high you will be in search queries results. Better concentrate on real inbound links.
maybe update never over check one site history records: Date ......PR BLs Site Term Today .....3 7 ...10 ...438 9/27/2006 3 27 10 1060 9/28/2006 3 27 10 1050 9/29/2006 4 20 10 1050 10/2/2006 4 7 10 433 10/2/2006 4 7 10 433 10/4/2006 3 20 10 435 10/5/2006 3 7 10 456 10/5/2006 4 7 10 1090 10/7/2006 3 20 10 424 10/9/2006 3 7 10 438
something similar happen to me on the last update. Looks like my homepage is finally reflecting a PR that is similar to my interior pages. Not that it really matters.
PR still has many flaws and such things do happens. But what i cannt understand is why should one bother about PR, when it got nothing to do with SERPs. Even if it plays a role , its very negligable.
PR does has an effect on the SERPS, but I agree completely that it is not what webmasters should be focusing on. We should be focusing on building web sites which are valuable to our visitors.

Because all of your inbound links use the plural form of the word and Google's stemming algorithm sucks.
