Really not too many, your words sound like there are thousands of choices . I even asked a question at foogle.com, but haven't got reply
You guys did see the report of the rush on Google off shoot domains a while back, don't make me look for it
Actually, no... I must have missed that. So if you wouldn't mind looking for it, that would be great. Or just summarize it here along with Compar's report on "broken google"...
On the Google domain names registered by those other than Google see http://vivisimo.com/search?v%3Asources=Web&query=google+domain+names&x=26&y=11 On the Google is broke deal, I think that the first page or the first 20 results are fine. After that it is a free for all and the results can be diluted or not relevant to a lot of search terms.
Ah, I see you are your usual loveable self, compar -- no wonder you are so sought after as a speaker at church and high school events. But you might get better rankings with minstrel-is-right.info
The Google SERP's have been screwed up by a lot of things since November of 2003. I know that for a fact and I think that Bob and McDar's research points this out. I did mention that I had asked Bob to give an opinion of what he found in the study in the McDar thread and he did not want to come to a final conclusion. So by what I see his research (not opinion) shows that there is in fact odd search results showing up in Google. My own research back in November 2003 until about a month or so ago showed that Google did in fact have problems with very important issues. Conflict of interest issues, let's just leave it at that.
Well Minstrel, at least you have a way to keep threads going, you add fuel to the fire. We need more members like you around here to stoke the fires. You can only get at issues if you scratch at them, correct?
So let's try and get this thread back on topic somewhat. At least let's discuss Google. Did either of you two, Minstrel and AC, see my latest article called Content and the new Google Algo. Minstrel you should have a great time picking this apart. I remember you very well from another forum. That seemed to be you prime modus operandi. I'm actually quite amazed that it has taken you this long to attack me on this forum. Feeling a little insecure were we?
I think the article is right on because excellent content is very important, why do we see threads from forums ranking high in the SERP's if this were not the case? I think content that is current and up to date is important with Google also and live feeds are becoming more important every day with all of the blog engine spiders about. I think that GOOD links are the most important thing, not a "whole lota links", so the article is correct and current. I also think that if it is the same Mel that is a member here that you quoted in the article, that is also good since he seems to have a keen sense of SEO.
