I mean, if you wana inner page have a pr value other than pr0, you must have at least one external backlink though your home page have high pr value.

Think you need more than one, you could also try writing article's to build links to pages other than the homepage.

    no you don't..

I suggest you look around the site and see what others with more experiance have said. ;)

You don't "need" external links to internal pages to get pr, google just needs to be able to find the inner pages.

you can look at my site for example
    http://forum.vbulletinsetup.com/archive/
look at the archive,, I don't have links to each archive section and several have pr4 and 5 ;)

    cheers

I have plenty of pages with PR but no external link. I'd look at your sitemap/navigation. Are your 0 pr pages in the search index?

Nope no necessarily .... links within your site pass pr to subordinate pages also -- implement a sitemap and you'll pass PR to inner pages :)

as Small Fry said, you need a good navigation/sitemap. you don't need external links to your inner pages.

That happens sometimes, My homepage with out much promotion or work is a PR2 but interior pages are PR4 for a site that is only about 2 months old. (It happened this update).

I have a sitemap.php file on my article directory that used to list every article on the site - over 100,000 of them - it was a pr 2 page - even with 100,000 links on it. I recently sliced and diced it up into several pages with 10k links on each one to try to lower the load time on that file to less than 10 minutes...
