The European Commission accounced that it has started a preliminary investigation into Google after allegations of anti-competitive behaviour surfaced from three European-based companies. Here are more info: http://www.internet-fraud.net/fraud...le-search-fraud-commercetuned-marketing-news/ It would be interesting to see what the European Commission will rule...
interesting stuff... Google can easily de-index them as it's their database but if they do de-index the websites they will get into more hot waters for abusing their dominant position. American authorities would be quick to scrap the case as if google lose everybody will start sueing them but Europen Competition Commission are different and you never know when it comes to them. Just remember how much money Microsoft had to pay in fines due to ECC investigations.
I thought I read something else about google execs and some trouble over in europe in the news recently. Maybe the same or related story. Big corporations do a lot more than we think or know about sometimes. Interesting to follow and see if anything develops.
It would be good if they will get fined, at least, so they can know that they can be touched and not the rulers of the world.
Tht is absolutely rubbish Google would have surely No intentions to rank their search engine down , this could be best understood by searching on ny keywords like, Best search engine or search engine. if Google would have been unethical Google can intentionally rate himself top in SERP on these keywords but he hasen't, m sure Google will counter sue their allegations and will give them good answer.
I think, google will never ban or de-index anyone till someone goes against their rules and regulations. And whatever similar had happened in the past, it was the Big G who has won the fight. So I dont think, this will be any concern to Google at this moment.
