Interesting article about the deal between Dell and Google.

Does anyone have a Dell that does this?

If you read the complete article you will see its more of potshot attempt by OpenDNS. The fact is, Dell+Google pact kills the OpenDNS bottomline revenue stream (typo error sponsored links).

IMO - OpenDNS is total BS promoting heavily with all black hat techniques (check out their digg spam http://www.digg.com/search?section=news&s=opendns

I think both techniques are borderline spyware...I would prefer Google than the OpenDNS though.

    Exactly!

Who is OpenDNS - run by single person who is CEO, PR, Developer, Technical Support and even the sole guy to reply in their own forums.

I have been following this, and it seems OpenDNS has spent lot of money buying fake testimonials and blog posts pimping its services.

That is just so lame. Google is definitely going to the dark side. Reminds me of all the "sponsered ads" on parked domains that is SO against Google TOS, yet google turns a blind eye since it makes a KILLING on them.

Google is the darkside. Whatever makes them money is ok with them.

BIG Brother is Watching what you say!

    Be careful.

Google’s new slogan - “Don’t be Evil. Be very Evil.”

Quote from that link, which I believe.

OpenDNS is just mad because google is taking business away from them....Other than the ugly page and the weird names for the program..I don't see anything wrong with this....it is already done with firefox. and microsoft does it when you type a wrong url it gets redirected to an msn search

Uggghhh, sounds like Gateway now! Gateway builds great computers, but it typically takes about 2 hours to remove the crap they pre-install upon initially setting up a new system. Sorry to see Dell going down that same road. :(
