    Hi Dps,

Google try to copy all features of Bing.com.

    Following are the prof:
    1) Image search:
Bing had added new feature of infinite scroll to image search

Google try to add this feature to its search engine

    2) History:
Bing had added "History feature" in which you can see all history according along with time.

    I love Bing

Well, Bing is a great threat. So your statement is not "always true".

Bing is an interesting treat and I like it. I'm not surprised to hear that Google is trying to copy it. Competition will be rife when Bing starts to power Yahoo search sometime in 2011.

well its stupid not to do something that is good. that would be called being intelligent and not copying if they add those features... learning from ur competitors is a good thing! had GM learnt its lesson before from toyota or honda they wont have been in the situation they are in!

So its smart if they implement the same stuff fast.

Google knows what they are doing. They need no copying of other search engines like Bing.

You've got all contraditions in the first post. Just because google si king now, doesn't mean he will still be king in 2, 4 or 10 years.

However, more and more people acheive that google is acting more and more like Micro$oft, trying to dominate, like every big business, and most people don't like to be dominated...

Google is copying Bing? Great, more features to us, while using it. I personally hope Bing does not get to the top of SE, just because I don't like Micro$oft.... :D But I am also a bit scared of Google power. If Google wants, in this very moment they can take over the internet and our PCs, with their market. Remeber, Google is not just a search engine now... What if tomorrow we would have to pay for Gmail, FaceBook, feedburner, twitter... Many would pay to have access, just because they're so used to it, that wouldn't bare living without Gmail and FB... :D

Google powaaaa (untill the next comes) ;)

I would have liked to see google yahoo and bing all have a third of the market. That way you could make pages for each one or atleast get ranked well for some of the search engines and get good traffic. Yahoo gave up so i guess 2 companies that have half each would be good.

I would agree with the poster that commented that se's learn from others. If one se is doing something that the others aren't and it adds value to the user experience then why not.. there's no way around it, it's basically reverse engineering but either way if they can copy the feature and add something positive to what they already have in existence more power to them. Overall it's been done long before the internet and the method is not going anywhere anytime soon.

bing is no competition for Google get over it although Microsoft is king in marketing, they make people like you think their products are good while they are not
example: windows 7, I could name 3 or 5 free linux distros that are better than windows 7 but everyone thinks windows 7 is the holy grail just because Microsoft announced it as their best product so far.

Google has more history, experience and their algorithm is better want proof?

    search these keywords in google:
    "search engines"

    first 5 results are
    dogpile
    bing
    altavista
    ask
    and a wikipedia article

well you got what you needed, few search engines and an article about search engines.
now search the keywords "searh engines" in bing
    the first 5 results are:

    Mozilla addons
    searchenginewatch.com (wtf)
    www.eweek.com/c/s/Search-Engines (never heard about this)
    searchenginez.com (huh)?
    www.ciolek.com/SearchEngines.html

huh? how comes google dosent come on the first, second or third page? I cant understand what type of ranking system or algorithm they are using to track this weird sites and forget about google lol.

so get over it google has no competition.
this thread is pointless fanboy :p.
