Good tips! I hadn't heard of the allinanchor command that somebody pointed so I had a go with my keyword but it seems to generate exactly the same results as a normal keyword search - is that normal?

I agree, Yahoo show most of the backlinks (but not all) of your website rather than in Google ans MSN.

I have a mentor in SEO and he also told me that I should also be looking at how my competitor's website is doing. but right now, i don't have anyone to compare to because I don't have a site. i just help him out with promoting his website. Anyway, thanks for this post!
