I waited for more than 2 months before actually declaring up the results thinking that they might be incorrect or short time but the traffic has increased .

It doesnt replaces the original site with your site . You are just put into competition .
Wait for a week or two for google image indexing .

But who said what you said is true, It didn't work for me even I though the images are close to Google data center and getting crawled fast or something ...

 

I don't get how this works, does google look to see the referrers of the image and count it as a link back or something?

 

one of the point is that not muc people realise that they could tap traffic from image searches too .

only google can explain this well .

 

Okay I get how to use this in a forum or in a blog- but how do you attach the pictures in a regular html website where the picture usually needs to be in a folder somewhere???

 

Why do you need to hotlink the image from Google? Why can't you just put the image on your server instead?

I don't understand how this is any different to just having normal images on your site?
