My traffic from google suddently drops I am getting only 1/10 of what I was getting, any explanations ? No specific words for search, site has over 300,000 indexed pages. (showswith site, just with printing domain name in google shows 1000,0000 results but after 8 pages says that search ommited with repeat content.
Do you have a lot of duplicated or closely similar content? What type of website is it, and why aren't you tracking your keywords from searches? If you had, you might know where the problem lies.
I can track those keywords, but I CANT track those keywords on daily bases, like I know that main source for my traffic is google, but I dont know how many visits I got from google today and yesterday and so on. Basicly I didnt track which keywords make my traffic drop. Any suggestions to track it ?
I run my own web servers and I use a tool called Smarter Stats, which is amazing. But, you can track your website stats pretty well using Google Analytics. I don't know if it tracks keywords, though. How are you currently doing your tracking?
I dont have duplicated content, because its video site all content maybe a bit similar but I never had any problems like that before, I mean if that content would be duplicated than google wouldnt index all those pages, and here its like a bit different story because something happen and I am not sure what is exactly.
I am just using awstats, and there is only one way to see those keywords at stat page, but because I dont know how many of those searches per every keyword per every day I was getting before so its really hard to compare to those which I am getting right now and that is exactly the problem.
I hate awstats (not sure why so many people like them). The program I use lets me build reports for referring keywords/keyphrases with filters for date range, search engines, etc. It also lets me see the trends in many thousands of different reports, graphs, etc. For example, if I want to see how many people were referred by Google for the keyword "widget XYZ" each day since July 1st, I can do that. It will show me a numbers report and a graph. It's become indispensable, and helps me to pinpoint problems when they occur.
but google analytics would not analyze the past, I mean I can analyze keywords right now but I cant analyze those keywords at past, so google analytics would not track that drop in traffic.
I found I big change which was made by mistake. every title has a word "video" and some how that video get letter "a" at the end and google crawl all those pages with word "videosa" Do you think that could be the reason for that ?
I already set crawl rate to max speed but google still didnt index those pages and in the index they are right now like videosa
