You will find that the ratio of US to UK visitors depends on the topic of the pages you have. But generally I find 6 times as much traffic from US as UK for a page that isn't specifically targetted to the UK (my domain is .co.uk) The population ratio is 5:1, but the USA may have a slightly higher number of broadband users, PCs etc per head, I guess.
