Hopefully this doesn't last long as i am loosing daily 70% of my usual income. Google traffic dissapeared on the 25th of April around 10pm CET (central european time) How about you guys? Google images though are still bringing traffic as before, i am in the first top positions for some keywords.

One of the few perks of not being in good SERP positions, is that you don't get stung by position drops...

Not much to say really, build good content, get good links, practice good on-page SEO tactics and cross your fingers.

Hi guys, I'm new here, my blog TechChee.com down from PR4 and a shock today, PR 0, I'm not2sure what I did wrong. Perhaps, I overly participated in those crazes of blog link exchange and I've a complate change for my blog template, from a 2 column to 3 column... Will google stop indexing my page? Am I penalized by Google PR? Appreciate very mcuh if any1 can advise ...

You might not need new content or backlinks...

Interesting, from an old pro, I trust this.

Just wait, more backlinks aren't even necessary, IMO.

    Here's my story:
After the fall at the end of February, I stopped posting to my blog, stopped building links, everything. I wanted nothing to do with it. But I was still getting affiliate sales, so I did some PPC ads (those spikes in March are paid for), but I stopped because the ROI was too low.

Yesterday my old SERPs came back with a vengeance, higher traffic than ever. Godwilling, the Google gods will stay satisfied.

Edit: while posting this, it officially became my single best day for Adsense. :)

Maybe you should join any bookmarking site like Digg or Stumble because it can help you to increase your traffic.

My blog TechChee.com is a daily updated blog and I still get penalized for PR, down from 4 to 0 , isn't I have outgoing links to those PR 0 blogs or banned blogs?

Please don't mix up SERPs and PR. Traffic comes from good SE positions not from your tool bar :D this is a "traffic disapeared" thread:)

Ummm, by the way I read that the higher the PR, the higher the position on Google's search results? Now my site is back to PR4 with the toolbar and quite a number of Google data centre. I checked the PR fr multiple data centres, some show PR4 and some show PR0 ... so which 1 is accurate? Isn't it my site still pretty new (up to today only about 4.5-month-old) to have all its PR value even distributed over all Google's data centres?

Our site is by no means "new" as it has been around for many years.

As of the 18th of April, ONLY the home page disappeared from the SERPs. Needless to say it was in the top 10 for many keywords/phrases as we run an authority site for this topic.

When I say it disappeared, I really mean it disappeared. We did not drop in rankings, have a bad day, etc. If we do a check on the keywords for that domain, it is no where to be found and has not came back since. The amazing thing is that after 2 weeks of being no where in Google for the home page, Google Webmaster Tools still shows us with the old ranks (guess it isn't updated often?). Other pages are still included in Google and we still get a reasonable amount of traffic from them but nothing like before.

Our home page is updated every day with new content.

Did we get sandboxed? Is there any remediation other than "waiting" indefinitely?

    Thanks.

On the previous update on one of my sites, PR dropped by 1 but traffic from Google increased.

Traffic started to drop for me on the 28th of April (almost 80% of google traffic) but it is back as of this morning. Second time this has happened in a month.
