Google traffic all over the place - what's going on?

Just recently, Google traffic on my site is jumping all over the place. The analytics screenshot below shows an overlay of this month compared to last month:

The traffic is usually pretty constant and I've not made any major changes to the site but all of a sudden the results are all over the place, sometimes dropping frighteningly low for several days.

This isn't just a reporting issue - the adsense page impressions back up this data.

Anyone got any ideas? I'm worried since Google delivers the vast majority of traffic (and revenue) to my site.

I'm also lately notice big changes in the amount of traffic Google send.

I also use Google analytics, but I don't know how you get that view with the amount of people sent you.
    How do I get that?

In analytics go to Traffic sources -> Search Engines -> Google

So is it really just to do with the PR update? My revenue is getting hammered while it does this. How long will this go on for? I'm worried that it will go down and stay down. It did once before and went to less than 50% for over 3 months before coming back.
