I thought I would post the Google Top 10 Search Engine list for some light reading and thoughts... Search was done using query 'search engine' www.google.com www.google.co.uk search.msn.com www.altavista.com a9.com www.dogpile.com www.hotbot.com en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_engine search.yahoo.com searchenginewatch.com Odd Yahoo is way down at 9 and MSN is at 3. Another thing I noted out of 10 listings only 1 used search engine in the title. Only three sites had the words used together in their description tag.... Peace
I have got this by Using this Query "search engine" Extract Keyword 1. Altavista.com 2. search.msn.com 3. www.google.com 4. www.google.co.uk 5. a9.com 6. www.dogpile.com 7.www.hotbot.com 8. search.yahoo.com 9. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_engine 10. vivisimo.com And By Using Query search engine 1. search.msn.com, 2. Altavista.com 3. www.google.com 4. www.google.co.uk 5. a9.com 6. www.dogpile.com 7.www.hotbot.com 8.en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Search_engine 9.search.yahoo.com 10. vivisimo.com prakash
Now that is strange Altavista & MSN at 1 & 2 with Google in consistent 3rd place See now this should show everyone Google has no clue what its doing lol... Theyre too big it seems.....sort of like Frankenstein's Monster
Obviously it is not top 10 search engines list but list of top 10 pages about search engines in Google. Feel the difference.
Both our fonts feel the same on my screen But technically you are right since it now has an international flavoring
yes, its interesting... Few days back I posted a thread here about the same thing: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=133773
Yahoo is mostly used for games and ulterior motives besides searching. It will start to gather more attention with the YPN addition however. Hexed
Hint: anchor text. Extra hint: The title does have has some bearing on SE ranking. The description tag has none.
The wikipedia search engine is actually pretty sucky... wordpress.org uses yahoo search and most of the time I end up having to use google to search wordpress.org if I want to find what I'm looking for.
There is plenty of proof available, if you know where to look and how to find it. How about you go do some research and report back in a few months/years if and when you find it?
Your the one who made the claim... If you cannot back up your facts ....do not make them. Right back at ya Peace
1. Are you saying you did not know this before? 2. Are you seriously saying you doubt that it's correct? 3. Are you not a self-described SEM "expert"?
No No No, you are though Still no proof???? Your all wind.... but no sail..... PS your hardon for me is showing
