Hi, I've been looking for ways to detect if Google Toolbar is installed on the user's browser. So far, nothing works with the new version 4. Does anyone have any solution on this?
    Thanks a lot.
    Thomas.

Thanks for your responses, however I already did all the searching on google, but the javascript found is outdated. It only works for older version of the Google Toolbar. Nothing works or found for Google newest toolbar.

You could always send a whole bunch of popups and see if they're blocked. jk

Is there something I should know about detecting the google toolbar for SEO reasons? The only ones I can think of are for "bad" reasons, e.g. fake pagerank, circumventing popup blocking, etc.

I made a custom Google Toolbar button for my site, so I want to have a script to check whether or not the toolbar is installed on the user's browser.
