I was searching for some domain names and used few known ways to check Google PR and it looks like some PRs are spoofed, but Google Toolbar is showing that PR, same as few other PR checkers... is their toolbar so bad it can't detect spoofed PR?
It can't find. It is not meant to be so. If you want to verify, check the back links etc. rather than trusting any tool.
Backlinks are not reliable too... checking for link:domain.com will give you fake data too, even if you check on google... Just did a check and results are hundreds of backlinks but I'm pretty sure PR is faked...
It is a fact that Google toolbar does not reorganize spoofed Page rank. Hence it is always better to check out manually instead of using any applications…
I hate fake PR, but in any event, isn't that the point of a faked PR, what shows up on the viewers toolbar? This is a handy little script that tends to detect it, maybe not all of them, but at least some!
the way you should be checking if a domain has a fake PR is by going to google and typing info:www.domain.com. if it shows another domain name, then it is a fake pr
