This is the first time I have actually seen this in action. If you have the latest Google toolbar version installed, click on this link. Very interesting what you will see! URL with nofollow attrib] (it's actually cut off like that the way it is shown here --- it goes off the screen...I guess cause where the popup is on the page)
I presume they compare the adress/content with that of the real site (using a list of websites which are likely to be used by fraudsters, such as paypal, bank websites, etc) and if there are any inaccuracies they notify the user. However they do it its a great idea, even if they get it wrong every now and again, it will still make you think twice and possibly save you some money.
click the link youve given on the top then the warning will pop choose ignore, and then type www.forums.digitalpoint.com see what happens.. LOLS
Hello to all ! I was wondering ... uhhh ... what is happening here . The site that was in the first post belongs to me ( treasure-trooper-helper dot byethost14 dot com ) . I came to this thread from seing this referral URL in a statcounter log . Did I do something wrong ? What is this all about ? Can someone explain ? By the way , I did get the toolbar recommended and did not see any pop-up... ( running on a UNIX station , on Kubuntu 5.10 ). Should that pop-up apear to me too ? Thank you ! ( help a SEO newbie ). (edit: I'm now wondering ... why would it even Issue a warning ? I have no forms on my site , I just used the same style / template as the official one - and got permission for that ).
Its because your site is a subdomain of the one that has the problem which is byehost14.com What browser are you using? Maybe its a browser issue try using Mozilla firefox 1.5.02 with google toolbar 3.0 . Confirm it to us if it shows up
I was using firefox ( an older version ) and now updated it . I can see the error too now . I reported it already at google and told them the subdomain issue. I'll hope for the best now . Many thanks !!!
