So I googled some stuff and went on mozilla's site and couldn't find any answers.

I have the latest FireFox version and the latest google toolbar. So what happens is like every 3-4 weeks or so I open up firefox and a box saying Enable or Disable Page Rank pops up so I click enable. And then it sends me to a screen where it says your FireFox is up to date. This deletes my Search Engines in the top Right and my Quick Favorites. Could this mean I have it where it checks for updates every let's say month. And it glitches and downloads the version I have thus reinstalling FireFox whiping out all my saves. How could I turn this off? And also when I go to the place on the Mozilla site to add search engines I click add but they are not being added, how do I fix this aswell?

Seems like a problem with user profiles.
Reinstalling FireFox doesn't work in this case. I think the best thing to do is using CrapCleaner ( www.ccleaner.com ).
First, uninstall FireFox and then use CrapCleaner.
    Maybe that works..
