Has everyone read the recent news about Google and how they're now using retargeting for their Adwords campaigns? What do ya'll think about this? Good/bad? Just curious what everyone's opinions are. I realize this could have been posted in the Google section, but my question is more about how folks perceive retargeting in general, rather than how it relates to Google.
Nothing wrong with it, in fact it may lead to better conversions if the people who saw your ad once see it again. It usually takes about 7 to 10 "touches" before someone will buy anyway...
That's the way I see it as well, PPC Coach. A lot has been said about consumer privacy, but I think it's beneficial to consumers in the long run because people are going to be exposed to ads on the internet no matter what - might as well have it be for things they actually want and can use.
