    They always find ways to beat out the others, he's right about people buying from them, they are already very safe and a well known company, I may even buy from them later.

    $10 is too high
    there are other companies offering domains with privacy for $7-$8 (namecheap for one)

    i also dont understand why they would need to partner with godaddy
    they are quite capable of operating alone

    I think you hit the nail on the head. I dont think selling $10 domains will do much for their bottom line. Perhaps they want to dominate hosting, but I think what you said is more probable.

    Google really are starting to push the boundaries, but I guess that the 'net is so big that they still have a long way to go before their anti-competitive actions will be seriously reigned in, but which time it will be too late -- Are Google the new Microsoft?
