Just got this in my email this morning. Google to now consider tenure when evaluating account suspensions and terminations. "Working Better Together: Protecting against invalid activity" http://adsense.blogspot.ie/2012/12/working-better-together-protecting.html
Sounds OK. I don't know if I trust this as Google would seem to suggest so. I would have to really read into this and see what happens. Also, to watch this forum and see what other people will also think of it, as well.
Lately, I'm not sure about google. If there were other reputable advertising/publishing options out there, I would've switched a long time ago.. I think they've been experimenting with adsense too because there's beena noticiable decrease in my adsense earnings since January 1st (and believe me, I'm not the only experiencing this.. There are like hundreds of threads about this on the internet).
That is one of the problems is there is just no decent alternatives to Adsense, so most just continue to use it because at least it is reliable in the sense that they pay you on time and pay better than most other publishing platforms. As for the decrease in earnings, that is absolutely true and most if not all publishers would agree that their earnings noticably dropped this past year. In the end, until there is a good, reliable alternative, people will continue to use Adsense. I guess for some, some money is better than no money.
I've stopped believing the corporate lies some time ago already. Whatever they say sounds like farts to me.
I hope they stick to their word..because in the past they've been way too hard on us. Especially with not counting clicks. I hope they really do get more lenient.
I don't think it's a good idea for them to post things about "considering" to be more leniant. It'll just build up people's hopes for nothing if they don't actually follow through with it. Then again, it's what people want to hear... I have definitely seen a decrease in earnings. And I can't imagine how many people rely on Google AdSense as one of their major sources of income. It would be frustrating and even devastating to get your account deactivated, just like that...
