Do you know whether that "Site Selection" tool is going to be applied to adwords/adsense as well as the impression based stuff?

Also, are they talking about adsense style ads or graphical banners?

So how will this benefit me the publisher?

Is this a way for google to take money regardless or will we be paid too?

Right now we gamble for a click and a few pennies.

If google gets paid for displaying the ad, will we?

I look forward to the details.

Don't know anything else... but I would imagine the site selection tool would be used with both methods. The functionality is there, so why limit it?

I believe the per impression bidding will apply only to ads running on AdSense publisher sites (not Google search results, although I could be wrong). Should apply to both text-based and image banners.

It'd be good in terms of branding and product association.

    Especially on portal sites.

I'm fairly certain publishers will get a cut as well.

Someone posted the google adsense/new announcement in another thread. It seems we will get paid, however, they do not give enough info to do any math.

On another note, Motorcycle product markups are over 1000% in some cases. There is no product I know of that is not 100% markup.

I don't think folks in similar markets are going to go for ads that take over their site for pennies.

I hope we can opt out of that part of the campaign.

As an advertiser, I'd never sign up for CPM like this. You'll get way too many publishers who will put the banners at the bottom of the page (or fake it with CSS) and you'll never get an ROI for it. adwords went to PPc, because the CPM it was originally was awful.

This is a windfall for google and advertises, not publishers. They can now target your market and pay what google accepts and you get what google wants to give.

I will take my adsense ads down and sell directly at "MY" price before I let google broker it.

This is going to be a rip off. PERIOD.

I hope we can opt out of this part of the program.
