$200 mils seems pretty steep, but most interweb properties seem to be going very high. It certainly would add a whole bunch of eyeballs to Adwords though. It will be interesting to see how it sorts out and compares to the YouTube deal. More info: http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/digitalc..._buy_digg.html http://news.google.com/news?hl=en&cl...-8&sa=N&tab=wn
Why does Google have to dip it's hands in every good thing on the internet. Next thing there gonna buy Microsoft, Mac, Mozilla. Google is gonna rule this second home.
I bet google has its own social thing in the works. They seem to be doing lots of building, buying and improving.
Because Google want to "Own" the Internet !!! and all we can do is to rely on Google, because once we offense google, we cant survive in the internet marketing world. Just play around their rule and work smart
doubt it will go through, wehn google has the technology and resources to easily make and publicise their own social news site and link it in with google news....
Maybe they are afraid of making the same mistake as they did with Google Video? It is easier to just buy an already established site, like they did buying YouTube.
