Our daily news channel announced this few days back and the social network can be taken down anytime as Google senior management decides.
Did anyone ACTUALLY use google+? It always was the odd one out. No one ever talked about it, except in the beginning during its creation and early use. Now there are more social media platforms than people know what to do with. This whole thing isn't at all surprising...
I loved it when it first started. But after the redesign I felt like it became a different social platform (heavy, unusable). Makes me wonder if the redesign turned people off.
I'm not really sure if Google+ will be shut down but one thing I know is that it has been unable to compete with popular social media platforms like Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter and even Instagram that is almost taking over the social media platforms by storm. Most social media users had think or remember about Google+. So if Google decides to shut it down, I don't think people will complain.
Even though I don't use Google+ and find it a joke, I have to say, when I look at backlinks of articles, Google+ is always there - somehow - pulling it's weight. It may not bring in a lot of traffic or leads, but it's doing SOMETHING!
