Hello all, I was wondering what's wrong with my blog's source code/website title because when I search for it in google, I get a strange title, not the one I would like. For example: Google search How can I change this title?
You can edit your own site, can't you? When you type up the page, you give it a title. That title is the precise title that shows in the google serps - except that your site title is also shown. That's alright in your case. Why not have 'latest celebrity gossip' on each title tag? that's very relevant to your posts. and will tell potential readers what the site is about. But when you write the title you should think about the keywords that are relevant to that post. For instance 'I do not have liver disease' does not make it clear which celebrity does (or doesn't) have liver disease. Not good: people will be searching for things like 'Kimberly Stewart liver disease' (if they know who the hell Kimberly Stewart is). So a title like 'Kimberly Stewart denies having liver disease' would work better and contains the same basic information.
To change your title of your blog in Blogger do the following: log in to your account click on your blog you want to update click on "Settings" tab The first section is called "Title" Anything you put in the "Title" section will show up on all your Google results. Try and use a phrase that you would like to rank well for in the title.
google is showing the titles that you have on your blog....if you want different tiltles then edit it...
They look fine for me, at least it isn't spitting out the same title for each individual page - it looks like the main "Latest Celebrity Gossip" is fairly well aligned with your sites actual content.
Okay, even if the titles do work alright, why am I not getting the decription of what's on the page? For example, on other websites it tells you what content there is on the page but on mine I just get: Categories. Alcohol (2); Deaths.. (1); Diseases (1); Divorce (1); Engagement (1); Friendships (1); Marriage (1); Movie Stars (2); Sex (2); Upgrades (1) ... which are the categories and doesn't help at all for someone looking for celebrity news. How do I edit this "description" then?
I have found that Google pulls out whatever it see's the best for you description, not just what is under the "description tag". Maybe someone else on here has some tricks for that...but I just let it go and don't sweat the small stuff. People are going to read you title tag...that is what will get 'em to click
I don't know how to get a description per blog entry in blogger : in your description-tag - but that's what you need to have. That way google can pick that description if it is not going to pick a snippet of your text (which it also sometimes does).
