Today Google has announced that it is suspending some of the Google+ accounts to protect users against spam and to avoid creation of fake profiles. Reasons for the exclusion are already provided in the “policy content †of the portal. The information was earlier posted on Mashable. This weekend, Google began a strong effort to sweep fake profiles on its new social network. However, some profiles with pseudonyms, which apparently will not spam anyone, have also been accidentally deleted. According to the company, most of these profiles were reactivated on Google +. The senior vice president of social media at Google, Robert Scoble, admitted on Sunday that many mistakes were made in the clean up process. On Monday, the vice president of portal product, Bradley Horowitz, detailed the site’s policies and announced that they will be soon elaborated in a post on Google +. We noticed that some policy violations in Google plus were in fact well-intentioned, and so those users were not warned. For other real users, our process can be frustrating and he added that the changes implemented are a warning to those users providing them a chance to adapt to the rules. In addition, Google is exploring other ways to realize nicknames, compound names or pseudonyms.
they already knew which was fake and which was real because the fake +1's do not positively affect your SEO. Now they banned all those fake ones i guess.
