I would like to report a sighting of sorts!! I found something really interesting on one of my client's blogs the other day and as the titles says ... looks like the Google Adsense team is testing a new keyword phrase anchor text links within their 468×60 banners ads ... I have written about it on my blog and have a screen capture so you can check things out for yourself (I personally don't like it) any ways here is the link and enjoy: Google testing new keyword phrase anchor text links within their 468×60 banners ads.
Interesting, I wonder if this new experiement can result in higher earnings. It seems more like an intergrating of the "ad-links" advertisements as well, yes?
I've seen that too on 160x600 and 300x250 Ads. I made a thread (http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=460834) a few days ago with a picture and I've noticed two different behaviours: - Replacing Ads Dynamically on Same Page - Opening a Page like "Ad-Links"
The first recorded instance I have come across was August 18th/2007. I have not see much if any chatter about this anywhere!
ajsa52 - nice find! So I gather from your comments on the other thread that you think they are very similar to "link ads" but refreshes the ads that are displayed? (BTW... you're in Madrid - I'm from there too!)
No, I've seen two different behaviours: - The first day, the behaviour was like an AJAX site: Replacing only the content inside Adsense Ad (showing other link ads), but your page remains unchanged. - But next days, the behaviour was like "link ads": your page is being replaced with a new page showing only the Adsense links. (and "gracias" for the green rep)
