    I use it just to let me know when I have a new gmail mail... I get the handy little popup at the bottom of my screen. Don't use the talk facility as most of my friends are not gmail users.

    I think the only advantage it has over competitors is that it is integrated with other G products. Personally I prefer msn messenger.

    I would like to try it out.But I prefer also MSN messenger because most of the people I know using it.

    Im using it through my gMail account only because people keep inviting me. Its really feature poor but its convenient since the gMail tab is always open.
