I like it. This is a great way to quickly and easily see how many results there are for a given kw/p.
I like it as well, I do find it to be somewhat slow in its current state as you can't hold the down button to scroll through the remaining possible entries. It will also need to have thousands more entries added if it's going to be comprehensive for normal searching purposes... I suppose that's why it's in beta though.
have a look at http://labs.google.com/suggest As you type it tries to guess the word you are typing on the fly!!!! Which says a lot about their database acess times. But of more importance is the number of results the search term will return, again on the fly John
I just hope G doesn't go the way of ms word, so bloated and constantly doing everything for me that it *thinks* I want to do, that I don't want to do. But I think this tool is useful, it's like the "to address" box in gmail.
If it's anything like any Google beta products...it won't "come out" for a long, long, long time. news.google.com is still in beta.
The latest cool thing from Google: http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en Edit: Sorry, didn't see this topic.
ok - I could be behind the ball on this... but I haven't seen this before, and wanted to make sure you guys did. Google Suggest Check it out... it shows other search options real-time! as you type. Very very helpful - as well as showing my competition for terms VERY fast.
Can any JS guys out there... get the web service URL and parameters... as I'd like to do some experiments with it.
