Does anyone know the time frame of the Google Suggest Beta?

    http://www.google.com/webhp?complete=1&hl=en

It's nice to see the big numbers for keywords or phrases - but are these searches per day, per week, year or since Goolge was around :D

    Search term: Airline Pilot

    Google Suggest: 1,960,000 results
    Google Search: 4,040,000 results
Google Search (phrase in quotes): 890,000 results
    Wordtracker: 127/day * 365 = 46355
    Overture: 68.7/day * 365 = 25075.5

Who knows what Google suggest is doing ;)

I've noticed that the Google Firefox toolbar has been doing this for some time now. :)

Less results Google is giving, less is competition. A good tool to find a niche.

OK - Here's my question again for 'the experts'.

I already know it's cool. I know that Firefox has implemented.

What is the timeline of the seraches??????????

    For example:

Take any keyword or key phrase - let's pick the word 'travel'

Digitalpoint's keyword suggest - wordtracker - 16,155 searches per day

Their Overture results are - 84,150.7 searches per day

    Google suggest - 328 MILLION

What time frame is this over????

Daily (I doubt it), weekly, monthly, per year - or since Google started?

The tool is hardly useful and would be better in the bin of USELESS if no one knows the measurement criteria - other than a pretty picture that spits out useless numbers every time you type something in.

Someone has to know the answer to this question.

Its not how many searches, its how many results the search will return.

Thanks - I was under the impression they were trying to show popular keywords or phrases and the power of their offering. If it only returns results the search will return; that pretty much puts it in the realm of 'cool but useless as a tool' in the world of SEO - wouldn't you think???

In post #2 I showed that Google Suggest number does not match a regular Google search or a Google search with quotes. I have no idea what it is returning.

Yes, it shows search results, but the results are ordered by search popularity.
