honestly they do. i mean what type of good search engine lists a website that has no content on it.

i mean im not complaining because it was my site but they listed me in less then a week and i dont even have any content on my site.

yahoo has the best search results anyway :D

thing is, it may be on the database, but your site will not return any results!!!!

The only way you will come up is by typing in your url.

So until you have some creative content and links, you wont be seeing any traffic from google.

I have to agree. A lot of websites that are rich in original content often pale away into the shadows of websites that really have nothing of true value to offer a visitor. The only reason why many of these websites have such a lofty position on the search engine is because they have either been around for a long time, or they're cheating in some way (manipulating the system).

Google really needs to come up with a better way to reward people that work hard to give searchers something worth searching for, and discredit the websites that offer very little in exchange for the time that is spent to do a search for certain keywords.

There have been many times I have searched for certain keywords, and ended up on a page that didn't really have much to do with what I was searching for. Yet, they are ranked well for those keywords simply because they have a lot of back-links to support their so-called popularity. Of course, we all know that they really aren't popular with people, but that they just simply spent a great deal of money to get those links!

    This just shouldn't be!

Google is best because of the sheer volume of searching going on.

Google is the best because they return the best results, they are not perfect but look at the alternatives, Yahoo and Microsoft?....do an image search on Yahoo and most of what you see are flickr results not related to your search at all
