Hi guys for the last few months i am reporting this site and google didnt take any action against them am doing something wrong or google just didnt want to block sites reported? Can u people report this site as well to the google? The site used lots of hiden text at the botom check it by CTRL+A the url is www*ire-s*com put dot . instead of * to see or remove space from it "www . ire-s . com"
Curious, why report them? I mean, you're fretting about it, and I figure Google will find out about it on it's own. (Evident by how they seemed to have ignored your taddling). Relax, have some home-made wine (mine is blackberry merlot), and enjoy watching the latest G-dance. tom
Yea thats a competetor site and i dont know why google not penalizing them they are using this hidden text back from februry 2002 so its almost 3 years they doing that. You can check that in archive.org and they are doing it since that time. check it in archive.org and then feburary 03, 2002 thanks
Just curious, has anyone here ever been sucessful in getting a 'bad' site penalized by G? Or even a response from an email identifying a 'bad' site? tom
This one bugs me. http://www.google.com/search?q=belahost+netmidwest I've reported them a couple of times for cloaking, but Google just seems to love them... They seem to follow my serps around quite a bit. I am uncertain as to how much - and what - they are pushing to the googlebot. Fact is, Google would rather find a way to ban or filter automatically. This keeps the (human) hands-off policy while ridding the serps of problems. They have surely had time to analyze what this site (and probably others) is doing and somehow ban them. But the situation is kind of like counterfeiting. IF you are really good at it, no one will ever realize they have been taken, which is why you should go ahead and submit a site to: http://www.google.com/contact/spamreport.html just to make sure they have seen it. But what they do, is what they do. I think alot of the reports get trashed, or categorized wrong, and some individual sites end up getting away with things most of us would not consider doing.
so what can i do ? i think i should have start doing that joking i wont spame like them but they are doing it and sucessfull so what can i do to stop them or compete them they are always on top of me cause of that spame.
Sorry a little off topic, but kinda one...... After clicking on the first result, I checked for hidden text, and found a pi symbol, it goes to a page full of '.' links. Is this another item that G hates? tom PS. I just clicked on one, the screen fills with text, and auto directs to the home page.
I would really appretiate if you guys report the above site as google will notice the huge number of reports and will consider this a serious issue. otherwise they will keep ignoring my spame reports
I want to cheat too Pirates get the gold and have all the fun but you must be willing to go for the kill when you have the chance
After much hammering on the php redirect rank thief problems that plagued my rankings for a year, I finally got someone's attention on February 3rd. The SB update was on the 11th, and the problem was eventually solved. I cannot believe that I alone made this happen, as I was not the only one trapped. But the publicity of the problem grew, and more than likely many others cried out for help as well. Tommy, as for what I see on the page, no telling if it is the same thing you see. Some directions? What is it near?
Found it. Bottom left. I had seen the image, thought it was just a tracker. Interesting redirects. I wonder what kind... Saw some nonsense text in there too.
belahost also use this style="visibility:hidden"></div> and www . ire-s . com reduced the size of text and same color as background which is very old method still not ban
Light this one up with a ctrl-A, and view it's source... e host pros dot com <H1 style=display:none;> inline css in an h1 header making it invisible... and alot of keywords. Keyword density for hosting is around 50%. I don't think the semi-colon should be at the end, which I think is why G has not caught them. They can't look for every single variation or mistake. Or Google loves cloakers, spammers, stuffers, and css tricks.
you reported them, that's all you can do. Google will review when they review and decide what to do from there. I honestly think your energy is better spent SEO'ing your sites, and when they are dealt with, you will be in a better spot.
Initially looked like a Tracker to me too. When I clicked on the Pi image, it took me to a page with (what looked like) hundreds of .'s Each one a link, that when clicked, was a keyword rich page, that in a sec redirected you to the home page. I'm guessing what ever/how ever they are doing what they are doing, it look weird enough to raise eyebrows for spam filters. I'm still getting the impression(from how many people I've heard complain in the past) it takes forever if any results happen from reporting sites for spam. Guess I'm a negative person.
