google store databases

Hy,all

I know google is the best search engine. But i have one questions in mind in googl how possible to maintain this much amount of large databases and the searching speed is very fast in compare in any other process engine . What type of searching speed of Google have.

I was also wondering the same and while I was researching I came to acknowledge these 2 points.
1-Google have it's own Operating System & File System Highly customized and optimized for it's own purpose
2-They have alot of servers including low specs to high end servers, they are doing load balancing very well.

 

450,000+ servers or so does the trick.....

It most likely was i mean the technology was not the best back when it was made and it was only made by college students..


Amazing how it turned from that to what it is now...

 

They have more resources compared to other engines plus their technology is superior...this is why it is #1...
