Google stopped picking my up blog for some reason. It's been about 1 month and none of my new entries are getting picked up by the Google crawler. I have submitted a sitemap using Google Webmaster Tools and also tried the Blogger pinging service. But entirely at a loss as to why it happened. So I was thinking... does it make sense to start posting the blog on another one of my sites? In the hopes it would get picked up again. My worry is Google would penalize me for having the same content on 2 sites. Would that happen? Has anyone else put a blog on 2 different sites (but same content). Thanks! Try to figure out why your site isnt picked up by google .. there can be many reasons . As for having same content on two sites .. DONT do that . Good Luck with your site .
Did you copy scape your articles? You should check for uniqueness of all your postings...too many similar articles might have prompted big G to abandon your blog....imo Regards, RightMan
I think if your blog is not piking by Google. It may be Google is going to PR update in JAN 09. I'm not sure but i get from webmaster.
have a backup of the current content and start afresh... after a couple of months you can also put the backed up content, of course you should rewrite and copyscape them (rewriting doesn't take much time)... good luck with your blog...
Thanks everyone.. It's all original content that I write. That's why it's so short. But I write a few times a day sometimes. well... hmm.... thing is i dont know why it stopped crawling... i guess since you guys are all recommending not to re-use the content on another site, i'll just let it sit and see what happens. thanks everyone scott - www.whoila.com
Hmm.. I just noticed today it started picking up my content again. But the weird thing is that the titles on the google search all just say "Whoila Blog" and doesnt include the actual title of the post. Previously it would be "Whoila Blog » Blog Archive » Ranch 99 Grand Opening". Here's an example. Google "PHP SimpleXMLElement parsing dc:date" and it'll just say Whoila Blog. But Google "vanessa kingridge" and it'll actually show the title. Something I did recently was add a sitemap using a sitemap generator to Google. Previously I did not have any sitemaps. I added the sitemap because my results were showing up. But in the process, could that have screwed up the way it returned results on Google? thanks everyone scott - whoila.com visual gallery of things
