Google Stocks Forum

I really get annoyed when I read topics that go about stocks, and have Titles like: Is Google down? Or: Do you expect Google to keep it up? And its just about their stock rates. I am really not at all interested in the stock topics. :) I think it could have its own forum. I only come hre for SEO related stuff.

    Just a suggestion :)

Funny you should mention that... Awhile ago I merged all the Google Stocks threads (that I could find) into a single thread.

You could display a stock graph of the last week and have one line below it.

"Google is obvisouly up, no need to discuss..."

"Google is slightly down, no need to discuss..."

    :)

{lol} Of course if I did that, I would end up doing it for a LOT of topics. :)

I'd love it if the forum tied in with people's KWT account and did a quick across-the-board check. Then it should go:

"Dear [member], we realize you're having a hard time figuring out today's ranking drops but we already did a quick check for you, and most people are actually going up in rankings. There's no need to rush to the Google forum and post the weekly 'My rankings dropped, is there an update or are you seeing that too?' thread..."

Not that I don't post crap every now and then of course...

I'm also about to put in the AdSense Forum description... "Please wait 4-6 weeks for your check to be delivered before asking dumb questions or stating the obvious, 'Has anyone been paid this month yet/where is my payment?', 'Payments were approved!', 'Yay, I got my check this month.', thanks."

It could at least deduct 50% of those people's rep when it recognizes a FAQ like that. :)

But I guess we're here to encourage 'discussions'...

Maybe require people to put their home address when they register. If they ask stupid questions or make dumb statements, the DP Posse will show up for an old fashioned stabbing.

And show them a picture of you with your most evil grin and raising a blood stained 12" knife at the sign-up stage... "You have been warned..."

The two most smart people on the forum I look up to; Shawn and Tops30, and both make fun on a suggestion I was serious about. Did you even read what I wrote? Or do you guys just read so much crap on your own forums that you dont take suggestions seriously anymore because you EXPECT it to be a thread about checks, serps, or sandbox theories?

The way I read it, we agree with your suggestion and Shawn actually already acted upon it before you even asked. So we're on the same wavelength in that regard. I don't think it warrants its own forum since there's not THAT much talk about the subject and judging by Shawn's answer, he thinks the same.

It's a good suggestion but Shawn's solution suffices for now. That's the official, serious answer.

The Google forum is actually for discussions about Google - the company - related topics. The SEO forum is more for SEO related stuff etc.

Actually the stock price is relevant to the Google Forum, a few weeks ago people were going crazy when the page rank tool went grey.
There was a lot of speculation that Google was doing away with page Rank.

The first thing I do at a time like that is check the stocks price, if there are any major changes underway the stocks price and volume always predicts that something is up.

I posted at the time that everything was normal and thats how it turned out.

Those Adsense threads crack me up, it's real panic city in there :D
