Hi, I made a HTML website and my links looked like www.website.com/article-about-dogs.html I submitted a sitemap.txt to Google and it indexed some of my pages. In the meanwhile, my website was changed to php, and now my URLs look like www.website.com/?loc=article&cat=3&action=loadarticle&id=6 I changed the sitemap and tried to submit it to Google again, but it still attempts to index my old sitemap. The webmaster page on Google says "When we tested a sample of the URLs from your Sitemap, we found that some URLs were not accessible to Googlebot due to an HTTP status error." None of my URLs are getting indexed because Google can't find the www.website.com/article-about-dogs.html links, even though my URLs are different now. Is there any way to get my new sitemap indexed, instead of the old one? Any help is really appreciated. Thanks!
generate the site map again and sybmit it to google ...https://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/docs/en/sitemap-generator.html
Well I assume you already did that. It's got to do with the links obviously and it's not liking the way you've set them up. I've not moved to php and won't at least as long as the SE's aren't that fussy about it. It's your choice though but you might have to play around with this a bit. Ken
