I've just noticed that sometime within the last 2 days Google has exported the Webmaster Tools 'Crawl Stats' bars, which show differently from my Toolbar PR for one of my domains. I started the domain, got a couple of PR5, 6 and 7 backlinks. The domain sat at PR6 at the update, it's still got a PR6 on the Google Toolbar - however all is 'low' pushing half way through 'medium', so I would suspect the more lower PR links I've been getting has lowered my PR by a couple of notches. Did anyone get into the 'High' category?
Well I have 8 sites in my WMT. Some which are PR1 have the full 'low' bar complete. Whereas one is a PR3 and also has the full low bar. I think it's just an average of what pagerank your site pages have as a whole.
One of my sites has almost all of the low bar full and them some of the medium bar and some of the n/a bar. Right now toolbar PR is showing 0 for the homepage.. wonder what will happen
I have the exact same on one of my domains, which I can pretty much tell has been hit by Google for some reason or other and sits at PR0. I'd take a guess and say your domain got hit too.
My Low bar is completely full, and the others are fully empty - is that bad, I know I have several PR3-4 backlinks... Dan
I'd take a guess and say from having a full low bar, you have pr1 or pr2. I have 2 sites, one PR1, one PR2 - both have full low bars, the PR2 is *just* into the 'medium' bar. I would guess the 'low' bar when full means its a strong, high PR1, possibly even PR2.
My high bar has a small bar. medium has a significant bar low has the rest of the bar site is PR 6 with many internal pages with PR3-5
The difference is that my page had a pr of 0 for a while.. I just started working on it a couple of months back.. I didn't get it as a penalty I think.. I just had nooo backlinks whatsoever...
