    HI,

I have seen google indexed page less than one hour. It seems google has started indexing pages realtime. But not all the sites. For example book marking sites like digg, dzone.etc are indexed immediately when you submit your links. After few houres the main source link also been indexed.(thats based on page rank). This is very good improvement for google. What you guys think?

    Nothing new here.
Well, if you look at blogsearch.google.com about 10 seconds after you post (and ping google) it's indexed.

Blog search is different from main google search. Blogs are indexed whenever you write any blogs. That is called pinging. But no search engins are indexing pages on real time. Google's dream is to index the entire web at real time.

No, it is not. Part of Google's universal search is blogsearch.

Yes..i agree that. But what ever indexed in blogs will not immediately reflect in the main search.

Situation isn't so simple, it happens, that pages are indexed very fast but I wouldn't call it 'realtime'. Not yet (or maybe never?;))

may be..but the frequency of indexing pages are improved in google..within one hr a page is newly indexed is not a small thing. As of now they index only few sites having high page rank. Anything is possible for google guys :)

This isn't new. Matt Cutts had a blog post about the increased speed of indexing a few months ago.

I agree. I put up a virgin site just a few days ago. I created no backlinks and did not submit it anywhere, yet Google bot came by and spidered.

This is the first site I created where Google came on its own before I started building links.

BTW, Ask.com was first to hit the site without any promotion.

Problogger also talked about indexing by google search within 20-30 mins of publishing the post.. Bloggers have an advantage here

Can any one tell why I have trouble of indexing my posts???
Google indexes them through social bookmarking but not otherwise.
I thought the problem lies in robots.txt file and I changed it 4 days ago but nothing changed in indexing.

    Thanks,
    Vad

Yeah, I've seen this a few times and was wondering. I've posted a few responses to people on Yahoo Answers and within a few minutes it was already showing up in google searches. Pretty impressive..

    Yes thats true.

But some other sites like mine has been set by google on fast crawl depending on their progress in serach engine rankings and surely on quality content.
As any new link on homepage of my site gets indexed with in to days. Anyway thanks for good info :)

Some may have experienced rapid indexing. But Google indexing is not universally in real time yet. Case in point — I uploaded a web page six days ago and put a link to it on my PR5 home page. Today, six days later, that new page is still not indexed by Google. That is not real time.

Social bookmark sites use nofollow links.
