I'd think pay-per-click would stay, maybe the amount of money an advertiser wants to pay would be lowered though, and pay-per-action's cost would be (much) higher.
Definitely PPC will stay, as many companies wont even have something that can be sold online! But if this really makes a good percentage of advertisers to move to CPA ads, the CPC rates will go down like anything. That is not a great news for the publishers. CPA, I suspect wont make much money for most of the publishers. BTW, how reliable is the information? I think google is going to have a tough time tracking the sales, advertisers have a great opportunity for fraud now!
advertisers can easily do fraud with google, they could say that the sale was cancelled etc...or say things like a chargeback occured etc..
Hello Darker 123, I am very interested in obtaining more information regarding Google's CPA network. Can you provide me with any additional information regarding how it works; how publishers are enrolled and accepted; if it is going to be available to advertisers and publishers, or just publishers (are they just billing on a CPC and paying out on a CPA, or can you buy it on a CPA)? Perhaps you could provide me with the link to the PDF file? Any information you can provide will be of great assistance. Thank you, Jen D.
Hi all, Have you ever heard about Google working on some Beta version of a Pay per action adsense? I just read the article here: http://www.ezinearticles.com/?Pay-For-Action-Adsense---A-Fundamental-Problem&id=231293 Meaning, that we all are probably going to earn way less than we are now,... if it's happening...
you should search the forums this has been talked about and it wont effect us, from what i know it is another program like adsense but it is a CPA one.
Oh it has? Sorry for bringing this up here then, haven't been around much to notice that there are already discussions about this. Will search the forum now.
As far as I understand it, CPA is just another program in addition to the PPC. And both programs are targetting different traffic. Read this thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=98651&highlight=pay+per+action+google+adsense
