Google Squared - it is a viable tool?

I tried playing with Google Squared a few days ago and got frustrated and said to heck with it. I'm not much of a database guy (it struck me as a semi database tool) so I was wondering if anyone has played with it much and if there might be some useful information that could be pulled out of it. I think it is a neat concept to build a search database based on certain parameters, but the real catch is if this is some sort of look into the future as to how Google may use new algorithms. Thoughts?

Sounds like nothing more serious application about Google Squared:

But maybe soon this could be more on personalized search results that can be shared maybe using social networking environments.
