    i bought a domain a few day's ago, uploaded the site... put one link on an existing site PR6... next moring it was cached and the day after the whole site was indexed. Google MSN and Yahoo all from the one link. No need to submit to any of the search engines that i know of.

    Thanks for the MSN link! If you just get some good IBL's from sites that you know get spidered on a daily basis you should be cached in no time. I recently started a site (2 weeks ago) and already have 800+ pages cached by google.... nothing yet in MSN or Yahoo but I have been seeing some MSN bot activity in my logs.

    I have never got any traffic, maybe one hit from MSN, so getting a high ranking there is not going to do much good.

    Maybe one day, but not today.

    penalized??? for what? It's a very good way to get your side index in hours!

    Think about it . A company just launched a new site. People will talk about their product, and some of them will link. One of site will have PR 6 or 7. This means that google consider a "vote" of this website a lot! and this means google wants to index this site as soon as possible because it is probably something good!

    Buttom line - I don't see any way to get banned or to be penalized...

    Good luck with the new site.

    Btw - how much PR did you get in those hours?
