Hm... site is only more than a week old. And one (lets say day D) day was with same number of clicks 3 times better in $ than next day. Next days till now, there were 3 or almost 4 times more clicks than day D, but reveneu is a little bit smaller than in day D. BTW, day D was the second day of this site, the first day, there were 1/4 clicks from day D and revenue was in day D almost 15 times better. Thx you. Regards.
You need to take a look at your earnings over the course of a month to see if smartpricing has indeed taken effect. There is usually a major drop, about 30-40% of revenue with the same number (or more) clicks from your high.
I don't understand. How do you guys figure this one out? Is it released in a press release somewhere? From what I see from my stats, that's not how it works. Any guru care to verify?
You can read it from the Mistress of Adsense herself. If you don't want to take her word for it, then God himself ain't gonna convince you, because in the world of Adsense, Jensense is as close as it gets to divinity: http://www.jensense.com/archives/2005/10/one_poorly_conv.html
here is some info from AS support: *** In addition, we constantly analyze the data in our network against several factors. If our data shows that a click likely will not lead to a conversion for the advertiser (for example online sales, registering, a phone call, signup for a newsletter etc.), we'll reduce the price the advertiser pays for this click. This automatic system is constantly changing and is also impacted by the ad auction. Our system takes into consideration factors such as what keywords and concepts triggered the ads, and also which ads that are shown. For example, a click on an ad for digital cameras on a page about photographs can be worth less than if the same ad shows on a page where digital cameras are compared. Please note that the system is dynamic and can change with time. The goal of the system is to offer even more relevant ads with a better customer experience. *** I wrote to them some time a go when smart pricing hit me for the first time and this is part of their reply. Unfortunately it hit me again ... this time harder.
