Is it just me or is Google taking forever to index new sites? I mean for crying out loud, ten backlinks to the new site are already cached in Google but yet the new site is not. Also Google seems to be dropping many pages on existing sites. Seems to be another issue where GBot is focusing more on crawling authority sites and abandoning those that are not. Anyone have an opinion or experience on this matter? The problem seems to have cropped up in the past few weeks.
It's the same thing here. I've been creating a few websites lately, but no website seems to get indexed by Google no matter what backlinks I get for 'em... this should get fixed! It's really annoying.
I guess they do it at their own pace, its fast for some people, slow for some. you can always submit pages to high traffic sites to help the process.
I hear ya. Besides a submission to digg, I have numerous PR 4 and a couple of PR 5 backlinks pointing to the site. Most of these backlinks are already cached, so what the heck is Google's problem? If this is what "caffeine" is all about, it's utter BS. I can't remember when the last time was when a new site was not quickly indexed off of a relevant PR 5 backlink - not to mention numerous PR 4's.
Hey that absoluteky right but i think thats the issues with all sites and the do it at there own pace.....
I have had sites get indexed without even a link or reference anywhere at all. I wonder where they get the data from. Is it the Google Toolbar ?
toolbar, google analytics, adsense codes, pings, ... yes, google slow to index new sites. also, google is not fast as past for the old sites.
24 hrs is what takes my sites to get indexed, i think it has to do with where your site is discovered from... i high PR site is always a heads up for fast indexing because high PR site is crawled much more frequently , and so more are the chances of your new site getting discovered...
I was having this discussion not long ago, and I have come to the conclussion to not submit your site to Google, let it be crawled.
dear you are right but you have to social bookmark more then 100 sites it will be help u more and instant cache your site.
As I noted in my original post, a PR 5 relevant backlink has already been cached by Google with my link on the cached page. Still nothing. Google is plain broken...
yes of course it is also neccessary to consider the other end which is a long 2 month wait [when i first started out] .. how long as it been? maybe mentioning the site domain in question may help
Some get indexed fast, others slow. The question is, once you are indexed, what's the best way to stay that way. We may never know. Best thing you can do is trial and error, and even then, once you think you understand it all, something else happens to blow your theories out of the water. Just be patient (however hard it may be at times). If you put in the effort, you will be indexed.
