I have had about 10 datafeed sites totally removed from the index in the past week or so.

    Anyone else having this problem?

I was thinking of starting a datafeed site, did you have much unique content? Do you think it was a dup content filter?

Problem? If it's regurgitating content already indexed, then why should it be there in the first place?

None of guys have amazon or datafeed sites?

I am not asking about your personal useless opinions on datafeeds in general, I am asking other people who have datafeed sites if they are seeing the same thing.

I mash up multiple feeds and have added content on mine... it hasn't been dropped but it has been re-penalized (8 months old).

about .5% unique, almost nothing, they usually get duplicate content filtered in time

But this is the first time I have every seen them removed from in index entirely and in mass numbers. Also the speed which they were removed was pretty surpising too.

I haven't seen any reduction in the number of spam results showing up in my searches.

Well thats very scientific, that data means a lot. Just out curosity since a well done datafeed looks exactly like any other e-commerce site, how would this statement mean anything?

I know you find this useless but what if 3 other members confirm theirs' also got dropped... Is that scientific evidence?

Sharing experience, knowledge and opinion is the main benefit of a forum like this... Shame you find it useless.

Seems like you're having a bad day dude...

Completely removed? Are the main pages still cached? I have one site (unique content only) which only left the main page.

You are guys are posting one liners , not actually contribuitng anything. I don't care what your personal opinions on data feeds are. The thread wasn't "please tell me if datafeeds are good".

    this what you said tops

I don't know why, I don't care why, it probably shouldn't be there. but in the past it has. I am just observing some changes in the way google treats datafeeds.

100% removed, that never used to happen or at least very rarely, google used to leave hand full of supplemental results

eWESTPost, thats pretty good I was never able to get that script to index well, even when I put a huge site map on it. The sites I had removed mostly had over 40,000 pages. Nobody elese is really reporting the same problem yet, so it might be other factors out side using the datafeed,

My overall traffic from Google dropped A LOT. Some data feed sites, some unique content sites, they have index problem and lost many pages or changed to supplementary results, but none of them are removed. I tend to think it's Google's problem...unless Google can index my quality sites like before.

for all you cowards who like to post negative rep instead of just saying whats on your mind, I didn't say all your opinions are useless just some of the ones posted on the thread. just posting that datafeeds site are crap or spam or whatever doesn't really do anything does it?
